Fraggle Farm gradually evolved as we raised our two neurodivergent children. Throughout our journey, we often felt a lack of support. We worried about environments that didn’t quite meet their needs and shed tears over the social events they were left out of. We longed to create a place where children could feel safe to be themselves—a place where they could make friends with like-minded peers.

We dreamt of offering children the chance to celebrate their birthdays with guaranteed guests, where parents could relax, knowing they were surrounded by others who understood their experiences and that their children were fully included. We imagined a space where kids could connect with nature, easing their anxiety as their sensory needs were met.
At first, our dream was simply to create a place for children like ours to build friendships, and for parents to connect with each other. But as time went on, that dream grew.
We began to see the potential for so much more - opportunities for kids to learn beyond the classroom, events that bring the community together, programs that offer adults with neurodevelopmental conditions meaningful roles, and a volunteer initiative that helps people gain experience in the care industry or simply gives them a chance to give back.

We wanted to create a not-for-profit organisation where our children could be involved - because who better to guide us and inspire us to dream big?
